Lauran, Remeron works great for my terrible insomnia (low dose, 7.5 mg). Don't know how it will work for your depression and anxiety because everybody's chemistry is so unique. Low-dose Remeron will sedate most folks; higher dose (30-45 mg. and more) will "speed" most folks up (due to the increased norepinephrine (adrenaline) effect. IF YOU TAKE A HIGH DOSE, and it speeds you up too much (I HATED that feeling...too damn jittery, nervous....you may want to try it at a lower dose. At a lower dose it works awesome for many people w/ terrible insomnia but I don't know if a low dose would be enough for your dep/anx. Take care!
