I had a textbook example of paranoia and psychosis, and possible anxiety, but in a psychotic way.
I had no orientation to time and place. My memory was 30 seconds, then I would forget what happened 30 seconds ago, throughout the night. I became paranoid I would be noticed as paranoid and locked up in a mental ward, so I told my college roommates not to trust me for the whole night on anything I told them and not let me leave the room until the next morning.
Somehow, my doctor refuses to give me Klonopin. He gave me Gabitril to avoid Klonopin. He claims I might get seizures on withdrawl, but I told him an FDA insert for meprobamate says that's only likely if a person has a history of seizures. The insert also advises a barbitutate be used to avoid seizures during withdrawl, which he laughed at as being too extreme. Yet the FDA is VERY tight on what goes in those inserts, so I think he's got a serious paranoia if he thinks giving someone Phenobarbital for 2 weeks during benzo withdrawl is "extreme."
