Thanks, Jay. The Xanax was really helping. I wasn't abusing it and (combined with Cipramil) was the only reason that I was able to function and work and get a resonable night's sleep. Now that I'm coming off it I'm sinking into a depression fast. My head feels as though it's about to explode and I feel sick to the stomach from worrying about work. I am having uncontrollable crying spells and getting through the day with a feeling of unreality that I haven't experienced in years.
Xanax was the only reason I was ever able to cut down on drinking. Surely most doctors would prefer that their patients take 0.75mg of Xanax a day than have them drink themselves to their graves!
