Hi, well, I got the courage to go see this old friend, His email said "When you get done with your final meet me tomorrow" which I thought was tonight. Because his email I read yesterday AM. I went but I was a day late dollar short, so it didn't happen.
My point, anyway, is I hear you when you say that I shouldn't even think about labeling or wondering about a diagnosis of SP. That just isn't me. Labels do only help the insurance companies and to dispense meds-sometimes.
I hear ya. Yes, and I just posted 2 more about my med changes. I started back on Effexor about 2 weeks ago, and increased the Lamictal from 50mg to 75mg last night. Today, I have had a throbbing headache all day, as well as some increased blurry as heck night vision that started, or should I say got worse, when I went back on the Lamictal a little over a week ago.
I am worried here.
I appreciate your reply,
Kristen

In my opinion, most "diagnoses" are worthless labels. They help the insurance companies and doctors manage their funds, not help patients.

Don't slap "SP" on yourself so quick just because you have some anxiety. Your moods may be fluctuating and your feelings about interacting with other people may vary with them.
If you don't feel comfortable going out with this friend, don't. Dealing with anxious feelings is difficult: you don't want to give in to the fear while at the same time, need to protect yourself against negative experiences.
I noticed in another post of yours that you recently changed a med dose, am I right? If so, give yourself some time to adjust and keep yourself out of situations that may trigger additional anxiety or mood swings.
