In reply to Zoloft - SLEEP LOSS POOP-OUT??? Suggestions PLS!, posted by Jacob on March 11, 2003, at 9:36:48
Jacob:
I don't think you need to worry about poop-out yet. There are two routes to go: you could either ramp up the Zoloft dose a bit or augment with the Xanax and/or Ambien and wait and see if the sleep problems persist.
While increasing the Zoloft has its side-effects, one of which is temporary sleeplessness, I have found that during a given year, I may need more or less of the Zoloft and I typically find myself going up and down by 25mgs or so (my regular dose ist 75mgs), depending on what my body tells me.
If you are uncomfortable with the side-effects or find it difficult to change doses, occasional Xanax can help to get you over the no-sleep cycle in the short term.
feel better!
