Hello all...I'm going to start An MAOI the end of the month. Got to wein off paxil first. After 10 days off paxil, I can gradually start Parnate while I'm still on imipramine. Will taper off imip while adding parnate. I was relieved that this can be done. My atypical depression is overwhelming and I would NEVER be able to make it through the washout period. This was some of the info that Dr. Ivan Goldberg from Depression Central web site gave me. I am so grateful for his expert knowledge. I'm printing the info he gave me and taking it to my pdoc this month. I think my pdoc will be open to introducing this drug this way.
I'd like to hear some info on the MAOI's from any of you. Has anyone tried both? What differences are the both as far as side effcts? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.Laura.
P.S. Ace, if you read this, I get a kick out of your posts. Maybe I'll join you as the Nardil Queen. Ha Ha!!!!!
