Hmmmm... as somebody who has experienced OCD, it does sound a LITTLE bit like some of the obsessions I was having... see OCD can exist with hardly any compulsions at all, just mostly obsessing.
I have had a lot of different obsession, but that one where a thought can just change you like that (like it gets stuck? And you can't switch the swich back? But you don't WANT it to be like that, but you are afraid it might be like that, and then suddenly it looks like it IS like that, and then you believe it and then it becomesa self-fulfilling prophecy? Something like that?)
THAT does sound kind of familiar. For me, for a while I was so afraid that my thoughts could cause things I drove myself crazy!!!
Othe rphases I went through were feeling responsible for everything and everybody, thining I had to fix everything and make sure everyone is safe - excessively. Imean, TOTALLY excessively.By the way, I am ok now, I think I found the med that works, (or maybe again I wanted to believe it works and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy, but this time in a positive sense?)
Anyway I am on Prozac and it has done wonders. For more than 2 years now I have been, yes, I have actually been OK!!!!!!!! :):) :)Kat
p.s. Not saying take medication... just sharing MY experience.:)
