Nortriptyline

I've been sifting through the back logs about this drug, but there's too much to go through. All I wanted to know was if anyone has had particularly marked success with it, and if it is ok to use for people who are bipolar II. Oh, and what is nortriptyline's exact mechanism of action? Couldn't find anything on medline.
