I am not sure increasing an SSRI for a few days a month would work. I think maybe a short acting add-on might be more effective. But I don't know. I'm just concerned about the SSRIs because they are not instantaneous--it takes a while to gear up, and more importantly, there can be some withdrawal when you lower the dose. Have you asked your pdoc about this?
