It can be 2 weeks, 2 hours, or 2 days. And it's followed by good productiveness. But it's not like a whole season or month.
I get it all times of the year. I've had it since the 1stgrade or earlier.
I'm not depressed, and have never been depressed for more than a 24 hour period. If I feel "low" even I just go to sleep and I wake up the next day feeling giddy. My only problem is having to restrain a goofy smile on the street because I'm naturally happy. I even remain happy when I get a bad grade or whatever.

> When did this difficult period start? Do you think it might have something to do with the season/this very dreary winter? Do you find that you have a seasonal variation in your productivity? Do you think you might have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)? I have found bright lights/sunboxes to be very helpful at this time of year, but if you have a bipolar component, the bright lights might exacerbate the problem. Do you feel depressed? Are you on an antidepressant? Have you and your doctor talked about combining an antidepressant with one of the stimulants?
