Boy, I share the same opinion in the above post. It's great to see people who want tolerate nonsense from jumped-up little pdocs who need major treatment themselves!
Now, on to Nardil...I have been on it 3 months and 4 days. Yes, I have gained weight, but by know means a tremendous amount. I used to have a very skinny belly, now it is, according to my flat mate, a pot-belly!! No, I drink NO alcohol ( I used too, but on Nardil I'm so happy I don't feel the need) The weight gain doesn't bother me at all. Not everyone gains a huge amount.
The doc who said MAOIs were some of the best AD's out there was wrong - They are THE best.
With Nardil I feel always very, very happy and motivated. At times I feel a lot of love for the world. It has, at times, made me forget my illness and focus on the lovely things in life. I had extreme Phobic Anxiety (very difficult to leave house a lot of the time), Derealization (VERY scary feeling which the phobic anxiety is centered around) moderate to major Social Phobia, moderated Generalized Anxiety Disoreder and moderate to, at times, very bad depression. I also have severe OCD. All except for the OCD has been cured 90%+, at times 100%. The OCD has been helped 50%, but right at the moment (in the past few days) it is seriously starting to fade away. I think 2/3 weeks I will see 80-85% reduction in OCD.If you are thinking about an MAOI - DO IT!
