I have been taking Lexapro for several months (about four?? I lose track.) and am definitely less anxious. And when things happen that in the past would have provoked a major spin-out-of-control episode I can take a deep breath, step back, and make a decision without overreacting.

As always, your mileage may vary, and not everyone responds the same. But it's not accurate that everyone's anxiety gets worse (just like I wouldn't dream of telling you that everyone's will get better.)
