It's not a big thing to mention, HIBA, but cod liver oil isn't "enriched" with vitamins - it's a *source* of vitamin A &D. Fat soluble vitamins (like A & D) are stored in an animal's liver (including our own).
It was from eating their sled dogs' livers in desperation that led to the deaths of Scott & many of his party (from the failed South Pole expedition). Fish that live in cold waters have the highest concentration of vitamins A & D in their livers. Halibut is used for most A & D supplements. Shark liver is even higher. Some of the highest concentrations are found in polar bears - at the top of the food chain in cold climes.
