Why would DHA be bad? It seems like we need both. Acc. to my pdoc, DHA is what we need for the bilipid layers that make up the cell membranes in our brains. Acc. to the research, it's true, apparently, that EPA is probably the more important in terms of brain functioning for depression, etc. but there is still a lot more research to be done.
Acc. to my pdoc, EPA increases prostoglandins, thromboxanes, and leukotrienes, which are anti-inflammatories (I think). I don't think they know yet exactly how this helps in depression, etc.
But what does the article say about why DHA would be bad?
