Hi!!
I'm on Wellbutrin 150mg 2x/day, and trazodone, just 50mg before bed. It's great, sleeping thru the night is fabulous, I love it. Before the Trazodone, I was also taking Ginkgo Biloba time-release 120mg/day, and it helped with the word-finding and memory loss from the Wb.
But when I started the Trazodone, I had to cut out the Ginkgo Biloba due to a record of a one-time supposed interaction that caused an alzheimer patient to go into a coma and die.
But now my memory loss and word-finding problems are coming back in force. So I have a couple questions you might be able to answer.1) If the time-release ginkgo is taken at 9-10am, and it's 12 hours, and the half-life is 5 hours, could I concievably take my Trazodone at midnight and be safe since most of the Ginkgo would be gone?
Could I switch to immediate release, taking Ginkgo at 10am and 6pm, and be safe to take T at 11:30?2) Do you really think the interaction might cause problems??
3) Do you think it's the loss of the Ginkgo that's my problem, or could it be actual withdrawal effects like I've heard of resulting from Ginkgo?
I know you're not an herbalist or anything, but since Ginkgo is so common I hope you know something about it and the potential interactions.
thanks in advance!
