> my TSH is 3.6 . norms are 0.5-5.That's about what mine is too. Normal TSH is supposedly near 1.5 and so 3.6 could mean that the thyroid is starting to go. Other tests you could have are free T4, free T3, and thyroid antibodies. I just got those done and I'm awaiting those results, if they're creeping away from "normal" I think my doctor will prescribe it. My mom said that her anxiety & depression went away completely when she started taking Cytomel and her TSH was 4. (Her TSH used to be higher, but T4 alone couldn't bring it under 4 and didn't get rid of her anxiety and depression.)
