Unless traumatic events have always been in memory one best be suspicious of the traumatic events ever have occurred. The ill mind can fabricate memories. I know. Mine did. Fortunately I avoided confronting any family members about the 'abuse'. One thing is for sure these 'recovered memories' have destroyed many families.
