> Hi, took it for 5 years along with Klonopin. It caused me a nervous tension that didn't allow me to truely relax. Particularly disturbing for me was that it made it very difficult to urinate. Delayed orgasm was another. A positive side effect was that it dried up my armpit sweating. It had a profound positive effect for me on obsessoinal thinking and shyness. As far as an AD it often made me feel "too good" - I may be bipolar II though - and on the other hand the lack of serenity sometimes seemed to cause me depression and agitation - again I may be bipolar II. On Anafranil I was actually a different person - different hobbies, I had a drinking problem (I think I drank to self medicate that nervous tension or else because I felt "too good".
> I could not really even tolerate 50mg/day but 25mg/day was ineffective so I did something a bit odd and took 50mg every 36hrs. Feel free to ask me anything else - I might be gone for a week or so but I'll come back and check. Good luck. Michael73

So Mike,

Are you saying Anafranil was great for you? Did it kill your OCD AND act as a good antidepressant?

When you first started did it wipe you out? I hear of this frequently.

Take Care, Friend,

Ace, Nardil, 90mg.
