I am almost always on an ssri and a mood stabilizer, but if I lapse into a deep depression I switch and go on effexor but only until depression lifts up and then back to the ssri of the day, now lexapro. It's funny that Effexor is the only anti depression that quickly works astonishingly well for me but if I stay on it just a bit too long, I get manic ( gotta love the irony).

I've stopped using zyprexa after 7 days. I was getting very dizzy during the day and my hands started tingling. I used effexor, but my blood pressure went way up even while on blood pressure medication. I was thinking about asking my doctor about going back to a prozac/welbutrin combo, but I'm worried about sexual side effects; those aren't very conducive to a good marriage.
I'm wondering about this new med, cymbalta, that Lily has coming out this year. Will it be an answer for my. I found an algorithm guide for doctors treating depression through this site and I'm getting close to the bottom. That's obviously not good for someone who's depressed, but I'm hopfull because I have a good Md and good Psychologist.
Thank you again.
