> My trial of Buspar failed, because the SE's were not worth the possible long term help this med might have provided. I could not shake the extreme nausea and light headedness for hours after each dose. After reading everything I could find on it, I came to the conclusion that the dose I could tolerate, would only provide anxiety relief, and I need help with depression, anxiety, OCD, binge eating. I am currently on the mood stabilizer, Neurontin, because of my med sensitivity, it is the only mood stabilizer I could tolerate. These past few days I have turned to a healthier diet, and exercise, and am finding some relief. I am also considering trying some extra natural support, but there is so much contradictory research out there, with not much in the way of scientific, controlled studies to back much of the claims made. I am already taking fish oil equating to 900 mg EPA and 600 mg DHA, a slow releasing mag tab, and Vit C, E, calcium w/D and a multi. I have started eating dark chocolate every day as well for its LP, but it also causes a mild headache. I have already tried Sam-e, and SJW and found them totally lacking. The dark chocolate did more for me than either of those substances. Is there anything safe and well studied that could be added to my regimen?
I would consider Prozac and/or Topamax added to your Neurontin.
