I suspect it was the hamburger. The biggest offenders of causing hypertensive crisis are degraded protein. My only h/t crisis as a result of food (the 1st was caused by my pdoc switching me from Nardil to Parnate too quickly) came after 3 or more years on the Parnate and was from eating 1/2 teriyaki chicken breast at a restaurant. For all I know the chicken was sitting in the fridge for 3 or more days and possibly being marinated in soy sauce. This is one of the reasons I stopped 5 years ago, eating out was just too "iffy", you never know how fresh the meat is that you eat, or what they've put in their "sauce".
It would also be wise to not over do the chocolate.
Good Luck
