>Bob,
Yes, I believe it is an allergic reaction of some form. I have always been allergic to cats. I have two right now. Usually I just get itchy eyes, nose, etc. I just have to wash my hands after petting them before touching my face. I have never broke out in a rash from them. I am thinking though that maybe it is the cats. Just some strange reaction that I am suddenly having from them. maybe even an allergy medication like zyrtec or allegra could help.
No I haven't seen a dermatologist since I started having this problem, just the ER staff. I will call my pcp tomorrow, my insurance requires referrals from my pcp. So he may want me to see a dermatologist. It's just odd, I am allergic to things such as poison ivy, oak, sumac, so I usually don't have this problem in the winter. I'm not going outside much, there's tons of snow on the ground and it is below freezing. But the good thing is, I now don't believe it is the strattera. My pdoc was going to have me try a stimulant. I have been really hesitant about that idea. So maybe I will be able to try strattera again, who knows.
Thanks for your concern :-)
I will let you know if I discover the cause, I may never!!
