After reading Brave New World Revisited by Aldous Huxley (8 months ago) to which he pointed out a drug which seemed to be a great solution for me (considering I sleep A LOT), I set out to try and find this drug. This drug isn't available over or under the counter in Canada, however, it seems that it is available over the counter (and can be ordered online) from the UK and the States (which is strange since I read that it was never accepted under the counter in the US). I mentioned it to my pdoc, and since he never heard of it, concluded that I should never get involved in it. However, that was at least 3 months ago and I still have no improvement in my sleep habits. I have bought the stuff once I found out what it's current name is (it was originally called Deaner, but has changed its name to Lucidryl, which 6 months ago still couldn't find anything about it unitl i found its full name, centrophenoxine). So I bought the stuff, and taking 250mg at night, daily.
Just wonderign if there's anyone else out there taking the stuff (and for the same purposes I'm taking it for, since it is multi-function), what dosage, should I increase my dose, change it to taking it in the morning (balance out my meds: i'm currently taking 1 pill in the morning [accutane] and 9 at night [clozapine, cod liver oil, cal/mag/zinc, deaner]), or if i'm mixing drugs that shouldn't be mixed (i do know that clozaril and accutane are a bit iffy already, but my pdoc suggested that outcome).
I realize that this drug isn't very popular (since i had a hard enough time trying to track it down, or even some of its "safer" cousins), but I'm trying my luck to see if there is someone else out there taking this stuff.
