Inner tension

I seem to have this problem with inner tension.
I don't know why I tense up but I thinks it was from years of growing up in a tense home
and I have alcoholism on both sides of my family.
It's also a irritabilty problem that comes and goes.
any suggestions and meds in addition to my SSRI for this ?
