As long as drugs have been stored correctly in a cool dry place, they should still be fine to take after expiration. How long? I would guess a few months but, 'I'm guessing' so you might do more research or wait for more input. I think it would be better to take the pills rather than skip.
I had a pdoc that often gave me slightly outdated samples and said they would be fine.
