In reply to Lexapro dreams/Do they stop?, posted by JaneB on January 14, 2003, at 8:45:10
I had really wild technicolor dreams for about two weeks. Nothing really disturbing, just way out there. They did eventually subside and are now unremarkable. I took the dreams to be a result of having a "more normal" sleep cycle -- I haven't slept normally in my whole life, was the only child my parents ever saw who never napped, even as a baby. I've slept four hours a night most of my life. But on the Lex I sleep six to eight hours and dream like other people tell me they do. I supposed the "wild" dreams were just because I wasn't used to them.
Best of luck to you --
> there was a thread about increased dreaming with Lexapro. Does everyone experience this s/e? For those who have -- did they increase with an increase of dosage? Do they subside with time? I am on 5 mg and the dreams are very disturbing. But I feel better in the daytime than I have in a long time. Just those images from my dreams and the tension they cause are troubling me. I did not experience this with Celexa. Any advice?
> PS I take .5 mg clonazepam to sleep. should I increase that to stop the awful dreams? Or does increasing the dosage of lexapro help?
