Parnate is metabolized into N-acetyltranylcypromine, 4-hydroxytranylcypromine, para-Hydroxytranylcypromine, N,O-diacetyltranylcypromine
para-Hydroxytranylcypromine acts as a MAOI, it also has some reuptake properties (serotonin and catecholamines)
Methamphetamine has been isolated as a metabolite, also. (Forensic Sci Int 1997 Apr 18;86(1-2):103-8) I believe this was in an overdose..This is the only reference to an amphetamine metabolite I could find, most suggest that amphetamine is NOT a metabolite.
FWIW, Parnate's chemical structure is similar to amphetamine
