A couple of weeks back, there were a few of us that chimed in on the issue of brain fogginess/cognitive detachment. A lot of you were in the process of trying out some supplements to see if this helped the symptoms. These included SAM-e, co-enzyme Q-10, ginko biloba, as well as others. I was hoping we could update each other here and possibly collaborate on our treatment strategies.
I myself have found the best method of decreasing the fog is to eat a very rich carbohydrate and moderate fat-rich diet -- this has also helped my depressive symptoms a bit as well. Unfortunately, this can mean sacrificing optimum physical health for better mental health, but it has really been my best method of counter-acting brain fog. Gingko has had a very small but noticeable effect as well.
I've considered doing trials of co-enzyme Q10, DHEA, or SAM-e. But I'd like to know how you others had done in trying these out -- supplements or even Rx med wise, for that matter. Please let me know if anyone has made any progress on this front. Thanks.
