> Well anyway, who knows what will reduce my body tempature? I'm unfortunately away from my Neurontin, which I stupidly left in my dorm. So what's an okay downer? I've got Ibuprofen, Advil, Tylenol, Asprin, Benadryl. My money's on Benadryl. I also have Tylenol-3 (with codeine) - anyone know if codiene would reduce a high body temperature and slow down my nightmares/nightsweats? This really is hell at night....
I'd say Benadryl, but better yet, it's cousin Gravol (Drammamine in the U.S., I believe). You may find you even can take a smaller dose of Tylenol 3 w/ Drammamine(sp?), as it seems they increase each others effectiveness. (Everything from general aches and pains to reduction in body temperature.)Advil and Aspirin seem to have little effect for me, but may be worth a shot. Take a couple of showers a day if you can, and do a bit of stretching exercises both to help with general muscle pain and overall feeling better. Drink lots of water, and I also find sipping on nice cold ginger-ale soothing.
I am going into my second decade of dealing with medications, their withdrawl effects, side FX, etc..and take it all very seriously, because it can be hard to tell if it is withdrawl or your other symptoms returning. Just pamper yourself really well, and if you can, get some good regular massage for deep-muscle penetration. (On a daily basis if you can!)
Best wishes,
Jay
