Not that you shouldn't see a doctor, but I've seen them ever since I can remember. I even remember having a discussion about it with a friend in college who saw them too. Now I get 'floaters' which are different, but I still see the dots. I think it's normal, something about the construct of the eye and how vision works, but it may be amplified for some reason right now for you (meds definitely can affect vision). I know someone who is doing research on the Bates method of vision improvement and she explained some of this phenomena to me recently (sort of), but I could never repeat it correctly. It is weird though-- I get all sorts of interesting designs when I rub my eyes!
