Just had surgery and am now in twilight zone-HELP

Posted by Justherself on January 3, 2003, at 23:12:47

I just has shoulder surgery on Dec. 30 and was given a nerve block plus general anesthesia. Previous to that I has been taking 100 mg of Zoloft per day plus neurontin as a stabilizer. I also take clonozapam for anxiety as needed. I was given Tylenol with codeine for pain. I've since been living in a twilight zone. I've cut back on the tylenol as I was thinking it would be the codeine that has been making me feel so detached. It's almost like the feeling of detachment I get during a panic attack. Very uncomfortable. However, I'm still feeling very mentally slowed down and strange. Could I still be having some after effects from the general anthesthia? It should have worn off by now. I only missed one dose of Zoloft but have cut down on the neurontin. Not sure what to do. Has anyone else had problems like this after surgery?
