I've always been kind of a big girl, not extremely big or obese, but several years ago I began trying different anti-depressants and of course like alot of people, starting gaining weight. I'll be honest, I don't get alot of exercise, but I drink alot of water, almost nothing else. Anyway, a year ago I had a complete hysterectomy and am now taking Estratest. I also now take Lexapro which is not supposed to make you gain, and I also take Klonopin to take the edge off. I feel like I don't have any control over myself. My weight just keeps creeping up. WHAT CAN I DO? I'm feeling like a fat cow and it makes me feel bad about myself. I am going to begin an exercise program with my kids, we'll see how long I keep that one up. But really, can these medications make you gain weight? If so, is there something to counteract it? I'm afraid to try any herbal or over the counter products because they might interfere with my meds. HELP! ???
