I know this should go on the psych-social board...but just some comments in passing. With Social Phobia...in time, very, very gently, give yourself a little nudge with some help, of course.
But, I will say, I experienced some of the worst social phobia on my life when I was on a combination of *just* Effexor and Wellbutrin. These meds REVED my psyche up so much, I was even too freaked out to set foot outside my bedroom. I was also very angry, and very anxious. These where the couple of meds that Paula Yates (correct name?) I believe was on only at once. I've read much that theses meds (when just used together) can be way too activating, and cause too much anxiety, and hence the 'social phobia'. It's like you are both scared and hate the world on these.
I have found, through some very casual 'meta-analysis' and my own experience, if you will, that lower doses of each of these meds individually, as well as lower dose tricyclics, and especially low dose (like just a few miligrams) of Prozac and Zoloft WITH a benzodiazepine seem to be the best shot at targeting social phobia. They also seem to work well for most depressive and anxiety disorders
I hope that is helpful for somebody....
Best,
Jay
