Trileptal: any positive experiences???

I'm on 300mg a day. I'm wondering what the tipical dose is for mood stabilization, antidepressant or anticonvulsant effect.
My Pdoc prescribed to me for sleep. This is the only time I've heard of it used for sleep. Is anyone out there taking it for TLE, as I have wondered if I have had this also?
