Wellbutrin was great for over two years. In me, it reduced irritability. I still do get irritable once a month, but it's actually better than it was. It is a stimulant, for me (with ADD) stimulants make me calmer. If stimulants make you nervous, it may increase irritability. I hope it works out for you.
It recently has been losing its effectiveness for me. I guess nothing can last forever.
