I've tried both of these meds. Remeron did not induce any mania. Serzone actually caused me to become more depressed, but only after first sending me into a brief euphoric phase that could easily have been a shade of mania.

Neither one of these meds were helpful to me, and my doc doesn't have much luck with them either. He just goes straight to an SSRI, usually Prozac, plus Zyprexa. He has a lot of luck with that. I'm sure Serzone and Remeron are good for some people, but not as many as other meds.
