Thank you all for all the advice!!!
1. I realise you're kidding about them dressed in red riding horses all day - but the last time I actually saw a "Mountie" riding a horse was in Vancouver's huge Stanley Park & that was back in 1969! We're more likely to see police on biccycles for the ease they can manoveur in city streets. I think the RCMP may have red coats still but strictly for holiday functions. I can't reacll anyone calling them Mounties either - probably a long ago push to drop the association with horses only.

Looks like they call Australian Cattle Dogs Blue Heelers in some areas of the USA as well!! See this great story about "Blue" the blue heeler who saved his owner from an alligator in Florida.
( see http://www.sptimes.com/News/072701/State/Blue_fights_off_gator.shtml. )Regarding the "Mounties" I'm pretty sure that this term is probably used more often outside of Canada than by the Canadians themselves. Like you say the red coats and horses are more than likely for public relation purposes only and for the benefit of tourists on holiday functions.
==================================================================================================2. you can call any pharmacist to find out! (nm)
Beardy thanks again!
I should have done this right away...silly me (<slaps palm against forehead>)
==================================================================================================3.Sorry you're sick. Paracetemol (acetominophen in the civilized world <wink>) and diazepam are both substrates for two enzymes, but each has yet a third to deal with it separately. You might find slightly enhanced effects from the diazepam, but the fluoxetine uses a different enzyme altogether.
Drink lots of fluids, rest, and Merry Christmas.Larry
Thanks again, however in this "uncivilised" country of mine (LOL) our crocodiles regularly take a liking to foreign tourists especially if there are no blue heelers around to protect them.(see http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2002/10/23/1034561549695.html.) and we also have kangaroos bounding down the main streets of our central business districts.
I like the idea of the slightly enhanced Diazepam effects with Paracetemol because this will help me to "sleep it off"
==================================================================================================Thanks again everyone and have a great christmas
