I had never heard of this link before, so I just did a Medline search on the topic. I could not find any reference to a possible mechanism of linkage, let alone a causal mechanism. Even the correlation between isotretinoin and mood is controversial; a large Canadian study found a relative risk of 0.95, CI 0.3-2.4.I'm going to shrug on this one.
