augmenting effexor?

I've been on Effexor for 2 years and like the
stability it's given me, but now I feel like some
depressive symptoms are re-emerging. My Dr.
suggested switching to another drug - I don't
want the withdrawal problems that go with that.
The other option is to add in a small dose of
a new drug (eg. 10mg cipramil) along with the current dose of effexor. Does anyone have
thoughts on this???
