Dopamine and Social anxiety/concentration

Posted by Boba Fatt on November 14, 2002, at 3:33:53

I suffer from social phobia but probably from ADD as well. Although my doctor won't entertain the idea, I cannot concentrate when people are talking to me. I have recently started self medicating with klonopin for SA but now I feel the need for a dopamine stimulant for my attention problems. As I have mentioned in another post I take stelazine but this is a dopamine blocker, I feel I would benefit more from a mild stimulant. What is a UK doctor likely to prescribe? If not what does anyone suggest for concentration problems. I currently take DLPA and Gingko but I feel I need something stronger.
