I realize Paxil withdrawl is harsh, and certainly it is.
But as far as the WHO's authority stands in trying to make comparisons between other pharma drugs, well, they just don't stand very tall there. Methadone is easier to detox from than Paxil? I'm a bit skeptical. Is anyone on this board someone who withdrew from both Paxil and Methadone willing to back that one up?
Let's remember, the WHO STILL thinks that flouridated water in the U.S. is toxic at the amount of 2 liters.
So if you live in an area where the water's flouridated, drink two liters of that water, and the WHO thinks you've ingested a toxic amount of flouridated water (not 100% flouride, flouridated water).
They're great to have around, but sometimes they get a little too passionate about certain subjects and like to let everyone think they privately know things most doctors don't recgonize to exist...
Again, I'm not saying Paxil is easy to withdraw from, but I'm skeptical about saying it's harder to do so than methadone just because the WHO said so, since I've never had to detox from methadone before.
