Hello, I was recently diagnosed with depression and put on lexapro w/o ever being on any anti-depressants before. My first day was great, laughing and smiling again. I felt a slight dizziness and nausea about two hours after taking it, but didn't get sick. Couldn't sleep, wasn't depressed about it either. Dr. advised taking valium to help me sleep. after about 2 or 3 days of taking the lex I started getting headaches at 1:30pm lasting until I take 2 ibuprophen. I have been on lex for 8 days now and the headaches are like clock work everyday at 1:30pm. Any suggestions? I couldn't tell you about the sexual side effects because the headaches don't exactly put me in the mood. I have also eaten halloween candy and sweets like crazy (not normally a sweet eater) and I have gained 3 to 5 pounds. I am happier but won't be if my ass gets any bigger. And I have also came to the realization that my job sucks it's not me. Any idea of how long the headaches will last, should I ask to switch to something else??
