Hi Dave,

Could you be more specific about what obession is causing your psychotic symptoms, and what exactly these psychotic symptoms are? I have never heard of true psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations or delusions occuring as a part of OCD. In OCD, people know that their fears are not real; reality-testing is intact. If you are having true psychotic symptoms, you may have a psychotic condition in addition to OCD.

Psychosis can occur as a part of schizophrenia, but also as a part of depression or bipolar disorder. Have you tried an antipsychotic agent to manage your symptoms? If not, you should ask your doctor about trying one.
