Lexopro headaches...

Posted by charly on November 9, 2002, at 15:18:05

Hi,

I've been on most of the SSRI's and am now on 10mgs ofLexapro for last 31/2 weeks. The depression has lifted and I am thankful, however, I need to take Ibuprofen everyday to alleviate headache pain; is this a common side effect and is it self-limiting?

Prior to Lexapro I was on Luvox, 200mgs for the last 3 years and then poop out ocurred.

Being in the pharmaceutical business (I do not sell any psych meds), I had an interesting conversation with the local Forest rep. She said pts on Celexa have the most difficult time switching from Celexa to Lexopro and the side effect profiles are different between the AD's. Celexa is more sedating and Lexopro more activating.
It's good to have found this board.

Regards,
charly
