I don't know what your doctor told you, or how long you've been taking the Prozac but the fact is that all anti-depressants take about 3-4 weeks to work, sometimes even more. That can seem like an eternity when you're suffering, but you have to hang in there and give it a chance. If after about one month, you're not feeling better, then any GOOD doctor should discuss having you make a change. Prozac doesn't work for everyone. Unfortunately, it's very much trial and error. You are not alone; millions of other people are going through the same thing you are. You just have to be strong and wait until the Prozac works, or try different meds until you find the right one for you. But don't give up.

Hi,
Thanks, I know I was on effexor for 7-8 weeks and I noticed a huge difference like the day after I started taking it. But the bad thing was that it was giving me all sorts of problems. So I was switched to the prozac weekly, and I've been on it for three weeks as of saturday.
