But, I am bipolar and in retrospect that doesn't surprise me considering all of the sensitivity reactions I have had with a lot of antidepressants. You just may need much reduced dosages and you will be OK.

I thought she was being mean, because I do not abuse my pain meds and she was accusing me of being a druggie. I guess as it stands, there is nothing left for me to take as I don't do well on MAOI's either. I never want to go to the ER again.

First time poster...didn't know there were so many of us out there. I was given paxil for panic attacks by my primary care doc and seemed o.k at 10mg/day. After a couple of weeks on 20mg/day the hell began...sweating, extreme panic ,nausea,tremors,etc. followed by a trip to the ER where I was given xanx. My dr. said to expect "breakthrough anxiety" and to increase to 30mg paxil/day. Did that...what a mistake. Finally went to a psychiatrist who took me off the paxil and suggested Xanax and time would stop the "serotonin storm", Six months later I am better but still not myself. Anyone had this last this long? Any sugestions?
