Hi,
I posted this recently, I think. But here goes:
When I was on Celexa, I gained over thirty pounds. My doctor said that some ADs turn off the satiety center in your brain that tells you when you're full. On Celexa, I ate double what I normally would (for some reason I didn't connect that to my widening hips). Once I got off it, I lost ten pounds in about four weeks and have dropped a total of 25.
Trainers and nutritionists, etc, say it's truly difficult for your metabolism to slow down excessively and that it's fairly easy to rev it up from time to time. (eat every few hours and eat the right things, weight train and do cardio)I don't know what to think about this. I know it's easy for women to eat what they want and stay slim till about 25 years of age and then........!!
I'd love to hear what others say about this weight gain/loss phenomenon and ADS.
