Sorry, something went zigzag with my registration and I've been unable to post.
Constipation can be at least unseemly and at most contribute to several different intestinal nasties. What works for me is oat bran in water every night.
I buy plain old oat bran by the pound at the health food store. I take two tablespoons in a half glass of warm water; let it sit a few minutes. It smells and tastes just like oatmeal. I do this every night and have not a whit of trouble.
