It seems to me that people who respond
to this drug do not actually have traditional
depresion, in the sence of the illness.
They may have cronic fatigue syndrome,
mental retardation, or something to this
respect, but I can't see many people responding
to just Norepinephrtine. In the history of
trycyclics, the drugs that elicited the best
responce, were the ones that had a high ratio
of serotonin to norepinephrine reputake,
Overweight people tend to respond better to
the reverse ratio, but not always. I think
Norepiniephrine is more - I feel dumb, I feel lazy I am bored, life is not exciting type of depression while seretonin is more, why can't I relax, I wan't this to end, why is that so sad, type.Effexor worked for me, but the side effects of anxiety and heart rate increase were to much, I also found it too activating, there needs to be a way of fine tuning the neurotransmitters.
