In reply to Ephedra a non prescription alternative to amps?, posted by Fenny3 on October 15, 2002, at 17:37:28
I've taken ephedra many times in the past six years, and have only heard bad things about it. I have stopped using it, but my husband still takes it. I found that it made me anxious and grouchy. As far as helping ADD, it did nothing.
I also don't think that ephedra is addictive,(or at lease I've never felt addicted) while amphetamines are.
I guess what I'm saying, from my experience, is that ephedra sucks. It's not worth the health risks to me. People have died from taking it, especially kids who take it and then go play in a basketball game, or whatever sport they're into. I see nothing wrong with amphetamines, as long as a doctor is prescribing it and making sure you have the right dose.
Just my humble opinion....
